Cookie policy

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones the website https://rodriguezmartinabogados.com uses and how users can manage them, in compliance with Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce and the Guide on the use of cookies of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website sends to the user's browser and that is stored on their device (computer, phone or tablet). It allows the site to remember information about the visit, such as the chosen language or browsing preferences, and in some cases to recognise the user on subsequent visits. Cookies cannot access the files on the device, obtain by themselves personal information the user has not provided, run programs or transmit viruses.

2. Types of cookies

Depending on who manages them, cookies may be first-party, set by this website, or third-party, set by another entity. Depending on how long they remain active, they may be session or persistent cookies. And depending on their purpose, they are classed as technical or necessary, preference, analytics or advertising cookies.

3. Cookies used by this website

This website uses two types of cookies.

Necessary technical cookies. They ensure the operation of the site, the security of the connection and the submission of the contact form, and store the user's decision about the other cookies. They are exempt from consent under Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE.

Analytics cookies. They belong to Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Ireland Ltd., and are only set if the user accepts them in the cookie notice. The _ga cookie distinguishes users anonymously in order to compile site usage statistics, and those beginning with _ga_ maintain the measurement session. All of them expire after two years. The information is collected in aggregate form and with the IP address anonymised. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

The map showing the firm's location on the home page is a static image that does not set cookies. The links to Google Maps and WhatsApp open those services in a new tab and are subject to their owners' policies.

4. Consent and how to withdraw it

When you first visit the website, a notice is displayed allowing you to accept, reject or configure cookies by category. Analytics cookies are not set until the user accepts them. The decision can be changed or withdrawn at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer.

5. How to manage or disable cookies

Users can allow, block or delete the cookies installed on their device through their browser settings. Instructions for the most widely used browsers can be found on their respective help pages:

Disabling technical cookies may prevent some parts of the website from working properly.
